HURON HORIZON (Peeters 2024) 433 M 2024 NEW INTRODUCTION A beautiful pink salmon with a small cream throat, the glowing colour of a morning horizon. Holds open 7 medium lightly ruffled 4 3/4" florets of 24 buds on long spikes in formal placement. Plants are tall, strong and heavy with excellent cutting stems.
Please note that the auction lots are for corms and not fresh cut gladiolus flowers. Corms are from international hybridizers and catalogers and will be available after March 15.
The auction consists of #92 lots with over 40 varieties of colorful gladiolus corms. Most lots contain several corms.
Winning bidders have the option of picking up their corms by 1) appointment at Hartline Farm in Seneca County, 2) during the seated auction on Saturday, March 16, at the Hancock County Agricultural Center in Findlay, or by 3) shipping to your address for an additional fee when weather permits.
There will be a $10 shipping charge to Ohio addresses. The cost will be more for outside Ohio.
Corms can be planted during May when the soil temperature reaches 51 degrees F and will bloom in late summer.
NWOGS will hold a seated auction at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the Hancock County Agricultural Service Center, 7868 County Road 140, Findlay.
Corms offered at the seated auction will be different from those in the online auction.
